This course aims to build confidence using Mathematics while demonstrating the role mathematics plays in understanding and guiding human activity. MATHS 101/MATHS 101G allows you to investigate and understand the Mathematics needed to live in our society while teaching you the mathematical skills through every day themes such as the Environment (e.g. air pollution) and Medicine (e.g. burns, drug dosages). You need very little mathematical knowledge, just "Inveniens Quaerendo" (Latin, discovering by trying) ability to succeed in this paper.
