Muriwai Beach
=============
This excursion involves an approximately 1 hour bus ride out to Muriwai,
one of the black sandy beaches on Auckland's west coast, and
home to a large gannet colony.
The first stop will be at a
local honey centre,
approximately 40 minutes from Auckland
where a gourmet packed
lunch from the cafe chef will
be picked up
and about 20 minutes available for
browsing at the centre.
The bus will then continue on to Maori Bay,
home of a colony of around 1200
gannets.
From here you can walk the 15 minutes
or so down to Muriwai beach.
